All orders are processed securely using our payment provider - PAYPAL.
Shipping And Handling
Most uk orders are
post free.
An additional carriage charge for postage and packing is made for all UK orders for wheelsets, frames and heavy items.
Velokit also offers a 24 hour delivery on regular items (normally free delivery) for £5.
(this service does not include Saturday or Sunday delivery). We do reserve the
right to quote a higher delivery charge for any international requests, EU
orders, or orders containing unusually bulky or heavy items. All pictures of products used on the site are for illustrative purposes only.
DELIVERY SCHEDULE
We will always do our best to process all in stock orders within 24
hours. During busy periods this time frame can increase and we will endevour to
dispatch orders as soon as possible via first class Royal Mail anywhere within
the United Kingdom. We will deliver to your home, place of work or any other
address you stipulate. For orders outside the U.K. please allow 28 days for
delivery.
Paypal E-Cheques
Payments made via PayPal eCheque will be dispatched upon notification of clearance of funds which takes 7-10 working days following the date on which your order is placed. As above, at the PayPal checkout we advise selecting credit or debit card as your means of payment, not eCheques because we cannot dispatch your order until this has cleared.
Back Orders/Out of Stock Items If your item is
not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the
option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. From time to time some
items advertised may have already sold out. Velokit will always endevour
to keep its stock levels up to date. If an item ordered has sold out then you
will always be contacted with the option to cancel your order. If the item/s
ordered have sold out then we will always try to obtain further stocks before
contacting you.
If your ordered item is out of stock and re-stock prices have increased for an item , Velokit reserve the right to refund your order or offer you the item at
the new increased Velokit price.
Tax Charges
All prices are inclusive of VAT.
Orders
By completing and submitting our electronic order form you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract.
ORDER CANCELLATIONS
You are free
to cancel your order at any time and for any reason before it is dispatched. To cancel your order we need explicit
instructions from the person who placed the order by Email.
An order may not be cancelled after it has been dispatched or
while it is in transit, but must be treated as a return. In this eventuality a
refund will be provided when the goods are returned to us.
BICYCLES AND HEAVY ITEMS DELIVERIES
It is important to inspect the items for damage before you sign for delivery. If the item is damaged, you can refuse delivery. Please always sign the courier form as 'Not Inspected' and report any damage to your ordered item to Velokit within 48 hours of delivery.
If your package is delivered by courier they will attempt 2 deliveries - after this, the package(s) will be returned to our warehouse and you will be credited for the cost of the goods but NOT the shipping charges.
ROYAL MAIL DELIVERIES
If your order is delivered by Royal Mail and you are unable to accept delivery they will leave a note to allow you to arrange
redelivery or pick up your item from the local depot
ORDER RETURNS
The vast majority of returns fall
into one of four categories, each of which must be treated in a slightly
different manner:
Unwanted or otherwise unsuitable goods
Damaged or defective goods
Broken goods under warranty
Incorrect goods dispatched
ALL RETURNS MUST HAVE A 'RETURNS AUTHORISATION NUMBER' CLEARLY MARKED ON THE OUTSIDE PACKAGING.
IMPORTANT:
CONTACT VELOKIT TO REQUEST A 'RETURNS AUTHORISATION NUMBER' BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR ITEM BACK BACK.
WE CANNOT LINK THE RETURNED ITEM TO YOUR ORDER WITHOUT THIS RMA NUMBER ON THE PACKAGING.
IF WE HAVE TO SPEND TIME LINKING YOUR RETURNED ITEM TO YOUR ORDER. THIS WILL BE CHARGED FOR AND DEDUCTED FROM YOUR REFUND.
WE INSIST ON ARRANGING COLLECTION OF BULKY/ HEAVY ITEMS AND WE WILL COMMUNICATE CLEARLY TO YOU WHEN THE COURIER WILL ARRIVE TO COLLECT.
WE WILL SEND YOU A LINK TO A LABEL YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRINT OFF AND ATTACHED TO THE OUTSIDE PACKAGING OF THE PARCEL.
Unwanted or unsuitable goods:
You are free to return unwanted goods in new & unused
condition for 30 days after delivery. You will be entitled to your choice of an
exchange or a full refund to the original payment method. The customer must meet
the cost of returns postage for unwanted goods. We cannot accept responsibility
for goods in returns transit, and so we recommend that you use registered post or an otherwise insured
method.
Damaged or defective goods:
You are free to
return defective goods in new & unused condition for 30 days after delivery.
You will be entitled to your choice of an exchange or a full refund to the
original payment card. Velokit will meet the cost of returns postage for
defective goods. We insist on arrangement for a courier pickup of the larger goods goods (heavy and bulky items) or we can
refund your postage expenses (within reasonable limits) upon return delivery.
Please note that the warranty given by both Velokit and the manufacturers
of our products will only cover parts. Labour charges and other costs are
not covered.
Broken goods under warranty:
You
are free to return broken goods under a warranty claim for the full warranty
period after delivery. Your goods may be repaired or replaced, or you may be
offered a refund depending on the decision of the manufacturer. We will send the
goods to the manufacturer for assessment but the final decision lies
with the manufacturer and you may have to wait for their tests to be
completed. The customer must meet the cost of returns postage for warranty
claims. We cannot accept responsibility for goods in returns transit, and so we
recommend that you use registered post or an otherwise insured
method. Please note that the warranty given by both Velokit and the
manufacturers of our products will only cover parts. Labour charges and
other costs are not covered.
Incorrect goods
despatched:
Occasionally the wrong item is sent to a customer. You
are free to return these goods in new & unused condition for 30 days after
delivery. You will be entitled to your choice of an exchange for the correct
item or a full refund. If you have been mischarged, we will correct the
discrepancy. Velokit will meet the cost of returns postage for defective
goods. We insist on arrangement for a courier pickup of the larger goods goods (heavy and bulky items) or we can refund your
postage expenses (within reasonable limits) upon return delivery.
IMPORTANT:
Exchanges will only be made where the same item is available in
stock at the same price as the original. Items bought at special offer prices
cannot be subsequently exchanged for identical items on sale at higher prices.
If an item is not available a full refund may be the only option.
All
goods must be returned in new & unused condition unless a
warranty claim is being made. We reserve the right to refuse returned goods if
necessary. Reasons may include:
- Goods have been used
- Goods are soiled
- Goods have an odour i.e. smoke
- Goods are damaged as a result of misuse or ill-treatment
Important: Refunds are processed by credit
& debit card companies less quickly than sales. A refund may take up to 10
days to appear on your statement after it has been
authorised.
EXCHANGES
PROCEDURE
If you are returning goods for
an exchange we would normally have to wait for the goods to arrive with us and
inspect them before we can send out the replacement. However we recognise that
sometimes and exchange must be made quickly and so we can send out a replacement
immediately. We must take payment for the replacement but as soon as the return
arrives we will give you a refund on that cost.
CONSUMER PROTECTION
In accordance with consumer protection (Distance Selling) regulations 2000, the consumer has seven working days in which to cancel the contract of sale. The goods must be unused, boxed, with all accessories, and in 'as new' condition. Any claims for damage, non-functionality and mis-shipping must be made within 7 days of receipt. After this date, faulty goods returned within a reasonable time will be refunded or replaced as compliant with the ammended Sale of Goods Act 1979. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of up to 15% on goods which prove to be non-defective. You are responsible for ensuring safe delivery of the returned item. In the case of a refund (when the sale has been cancelled) we will NOT refund the initial carriage charge and our cost to ship items as Free Carriage will be with held from your refund. Also we will charge a collection fee (usually £4.99) if the customer cannot return the goods themselves and they do not qualify as bulky or heavy items (in which case we arrange collection by courier).
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. All goods are sold subject to the The Sale of Goods Act 1979, the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994, the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977. E&OE. and the Distance Selling Act 2000.

Due to health and safety regulations, there are no facilities for customer personal collections or returns at this address. Please do not attempt to hand deliver the return. There is no shop front or customer service facility available at our warehouse. Any items you need to return must be posted back to the above address.
